anyone who knows me, knows my love affair with travel.
sadly, due to covid, my passport is somewhere at the bottom of a dust covered suitcase in our storage room.... lonely.
prior to the shutdown, robb and i had tickets to Hawaii, Arizona, Bali, California + Tennessee planned for the months of April through September. and of course i had bikinis lined up for all of them... as well as cover ups and other super cosy, flattering summer items ready to flaunt along with bronzed skin and salty hair (boy was i wrong).
i may not have an instagram photo on the beaches of Kuauii in my cheeky mikoh bottoms or a snapshot of me in my wrangler with the top down, an oversized linen shirt blowing back on the pacific coast highway; but i do have a pretty dope summer collection lining my newly organized closet, because what haven't i re-organized in quarantine?
so without further whining, my most recent purchases for a socially distanced summer at home.

from the cobblestone streets of Amalfi, enjoying truffle pasta mountainside in Praiano, to the clear blue waters of Belize, the most amazing tortillas you will ever taste in Rosarito, shopping antique stores of Franklin, rafting in Colorado and tanning on Tamarindo... these pieces would have been perfect for a summer of travel but since the furthest most of us are traveling from our homes is just a few states over...
just roll down the windows, let the warm summer breeze blow as cars whistle past you. for now, we'll pretend were somewhere magical as we make our way to newport, drive up island on martha's vineyard, or dine waterside in the hamptons.
as sad as i am to have cancelled our trips, this summer has still seen many outdoor cocktails, bonfires, sandy bums and salty haired days.
